This was my sixth visit to Rincon over a 30yr span. The first being a young surf rat with no money and a big desire to surf all day. After getting to know some people and a wedding or birthday return I had fallen in love with the west coast, Rincon to be exact. Finally I found the ultimate spot to stay. The Whale Watcher, while not exactly finished in marble and granite, will leave you feeling that you have entered a postcard existence. The views are unmatched, the sunsets over Desechaeo will make you stop all activity to first gawk in awe followed by reflection on how lucky you are to alive. Puntas is the right side to stay on, great bars and restaraunts, Casa Islania has world class cuisine ocean front at an incredible value. If you are lucky enough to know about Rincon, Puerto Rico and have the means to stay at the Whale Watcher (did see whales) then jump on it !
Hi Mary Lee,
This is just a note to say how much we enjoyed our stay at Pools Beach. The view from the balcony was just amazing...so amazing we often had trouble leaving our apartment! The location was the perfect mix of being close to the beach, remote, and yet close to many conveniences like good food and restaurants! Thanks for the great hospitality.
We hope to be back soon!
PS here's my fav picture from the balcony because it captures our morning routine:
Mary Lee & Bill,
We truly enjoyed our week in paradise! The accomodations were great. Loved the sound of the waves at night and the delightful beach breezes. Add into that equation the beautiful palm trees and you truly have a paradise hideaway.
